Mais Berubz, des worlds championship de quoi? Well de track and field, pis sa vas pomal être la seul choses j'vas parler about pour la next semaine or so. So ste premier post icite vas être un peu un recap/prediction poste pis après les worlds on pourra checker back voir cause qui c passer. So check it out:
However, le 200m féminin!
Dans l'environnement des championnats pb to be expected!

Revival - Chiac style
Alright, if I am to start this blog back up, let us be clear, it's only for the thrill of being able to tell strangers in the street : ''Yeah... I got a blog''. I don't know what it is about summer but something about summer screams hip, modern, young, and sharing your every tought with the Internet seems to be the appropriate vehicule to live out this summer ambitions. So for all these reason I am getting the blog back up.
Well that and one of my good friends started up his own blog, so not to be showed up, I'll need to revive my blog. Now I understand, I lost my auditions, and in most revisited television series their is only one of two ways to revive the series, add in a new hot sexy caracter (typicly a new actor that as recently gain massive fame) or you bring in a new director and new writters and let them try to save the day. Well, sadly I can't do much to bring in new caracters cause this is a blog, and unless I make it a fan fiction blog, their is not much need for caracters. And as I intend to keep writting (well as long as the concept of a blog keeps me entertained) I can't changes writters. I can however bring in new writting elements, and so thats what I think I'll do. I'll give a big f-you to the warped language of Shakespear (now before ppl get pissed that I called english warp, read a Shakespear play, modern english does not sound the same, thus it being warped), and adopt my local tongue, chiac, a mixture of archaic french, english and regular french.

1 day!
Wow, tomorow I wake up and it'll all be started! But I am glade to say that everything is done. I could die tonight (don't be getting any ideas!) and everything would still work. I am so happy, now we have 4 days to set everything up for the project I work on (the project only starts on the 12th). The office is almost dead, everyone is away getting things ready, and they come in for a 1-2hours to print stuff and send e-mail, but by now every one is getting ready on the field.
It's super exciting!
Little recap of yesterday since I was not able to post :
900 photocopies
200 badgets cut
300 things to laminate
1 smile... priceless (oh come on I had to do a lame mastercard joke)

We starting moving some stuff around to be ready for the 12th (day that my first event starts) and I confirmed the last few things by e-mail, just need to call a few more poeple make sure everything is still a go and we are set!
Oh and fun fact today we have gumbo for lunch made by are two students from louisianna that want to show off there mad kitchen skills. So every is right pumped for lunch today hehe, but we have no more chairs in the cafetaria so we will have to bring are office chairs hehe.
And I finally got the programmes that I work on for a month, they look super nice, but the ppl that design it put some spelling erreurs that weren't there before, I am not happy about that, oh well such is life.

4 days...
BOOM! 4days till D-Day, and I am extatic, right now if we we're to stop working the whole thing could work, not smoothly, but hey it would work, so thats good! We are smoothing out all the wrinkles and by the end of this week it's going to start and we won't have time to thing of anything, because it's just going to be trown in are faces like an episode of cross-fire (good thing that show is off the air).
chess and track
My first challenge comes from a friend with a Elo rating of 1800 (Thats what is chess account says anyway) and that can run the 800m in 1:52, and a philosophy student, euh who would of tought.
Anyway he challenged me to find a link that ties track and field and chess together, so I accept the challenge!
Titles :
Now see this section more as of a warm-up. Both chess and track and field are administered by international organizations, and both these organizations hold similar tournaments. Example, they both hold a World Championship were you have to qualify with your regional organization beforehand. They both hold invitational meets, and they both hold series of events (such as the Golden league for athletics). They both give out titles such as World Champion, Grandmaster, World medalist.
6 degrees of separation :
Ok now to make a few links between athletics and chess.
1. Andras Andorjan, a Hungarian author and Chess Grandmaster. He was often reviewed by Botvinnick who compared him to Monty python. And we all remember the Monty Python's famous special olympic skit.
2.Simen Agdestien, a Norwegian Grandmaster, this quy was a football (aka soccer) pro, he managed to keep his chess and pro soccer carriers going at the same time. He played for the FC Lyn Oslo, a club that played in the same stadium where such meets as the IAAF world athletics championships have been held!
History :
Both are recognized sports by the international Olympic Commitee, but of course only track is pressented.
The womans event were presented for the first time in 1928 during the Amsterdamn Olympics. During this same time the Chess Olympiades also added a female categorie.
Anyway this is a quick preview of what ties chess and track together. To be honest there was other stuff, but it was even more far fetch then what I presented. I mean aside from a few exceptionnal ppl that did both chess and track, these two things where never suppose to meet! Anyway this gives a little exemple of what I mean when I want ppl to give me suggest for the next themes, so please comment your next challenge. And I will try to satisfy it.

7 Days
one week! 1/52 of a year! 10,080 minutes!
It doesn.'t matter how I try to spin it, the fact reminds, we have a week to get this down. Now I am sure you notice the absence of day 8, well that kinda gives you a glimpse of how crazy it was. Sleeping is becoming my faverite part of the day, because every time of the day spent awake is spent thinking about things I possibly forget. But it's coming along, I don't really need to freak out. No... nope, no freaking out for me... none (this is me trying to convience myself).
Anyway, I will be working late today I think, because I kinda feel like I juste need to completly let go this week-end.
